SRC means Second Robotics Competition. This is just a play-on-words for FIRST's FRC which means FIRST Robotics Competition. We are not trying to copy or steal the name. It's meant to be a joke.

For the 2008 fall season, Peachtree Ridge High School decided to hold a mini competition that would be a scaled down version of the 2008 game "Ovedrive", thus the name "Underdrive". The competition used VEX robots or any other robots of that size. Overall it was very successful! A couple other local teams had a great time participating in this offseason event.

 The main focus of this event was to give the rookie members of our team a small taste of the: hard work, determination, effort, time, fun, and "co-opitition" that the FRC season will bring. Our entire team was involved in this event. The veteran members had a lot of fun getting to be mentors on each subteam. And it really gave them a feel for being a leader. 

 As the 2009 FRC season comes to a close, we can't wait to put together the second annual SRC competition! We hope to see the participation of other teams increase, and hope that all teams, from our school or not, have fun doing it!
